Ukulhas is an inhabited island in Alif Alif (North Ari) Atoll, long known for its close-knit community and its relationship with the surrounding reef and lagoon.

Over the past decades the island has grown from a fishing community into one that also welcomes visitors through locally owned guest houses, while keeping decision-making close to residents.
